The Alt Mösern has existed since its opening in 1976. The Haselwanter
family has been running the restaurant for three generations,
and it is the cross-generational cooperation that makes the restaurant
so charming.
“The joint work of old and young works extremely well for us”, enthuses senior manager Angelika. The Haselwanter family has always pampered their guests with sophisticated
cuisine in their lounge with a large terrace.
A harmonious ambience in Tyrolean Kranebitter style and a view of the Tyrolean Upper Inn Valley are included. Adapted to
the seasonal conditions, the main menu in the Alt Mösern restaurant changes twice a year. There is also a daily changing menu with recommendations from chef and son-inlaw Alexander Sonnweber. Authentic delicacies of alpine origin are refined by him and his team to dishes with a special touch. “We only use products from the region – with vegetables,
fruit and herbs a matter of course. We get our fish from the Leutasch Valley, the meat mainly from Austria
and our game comes from the local forests,” says chef Alexander.
Even the pasta is homemade in Alt Mösern. The restaurant has deservedly received several awards from the renowned Falstaff guide and is a member of the associations “Culinary Heritage Austria” and “Delightful Region Austria”.
